Pain is an unavoidable part of life. We fall, we get hurt, and life itself begins with pain. Yet most people spend their lives trying to avoid it.
The human body is remarkably well designed to cope with pain. Over tens of thousands of years, our nervous systems evolved to survive and process intense experiences. Part of that strategy involves a perfectly orchestrated system of the body’s natural painkillers - which are the same that play a fundamental role in pleasure and ecstasy as well. Pain and pleasure are far more connected than most people realize.
In this workshop, we will explore how to find and turn the edge of your comfort zone into pleasure: find the point where challenge, surrender, sensation, and pleasure begin to merge. Together we will learn how to play consciously, safely, and intentionally — so that intensity becomes not only tolerable, but profoundly enjoyable.
In this workshop, you will:
Expand your repertoire beyond traditional impact play tools such as floggers.
Learn how to create intensity through hands, body mechanics, psychological play, and a variety of creative t0rtur€ implements such as body parts, pin wheel, electricity, ice, hot wax, clamps, scratching in various forms, etc.
Explore different qualities of pain—soft, sharp, dull, stinging, heavy, and overwhelming—and discover which sensations resonate most with your nervous system.
Experience both the receiving and the giving side of pain, gaining insight into both masochistic and sadistic perspectives.
Build a solid foundation of communication, control, safety, pacing, and recovery.
Learn how breath, attention, and nervous system regulation can profoundly influence the way pain is processed and experienced.
Discover how intensity can be shaped, amplified, softened, and ultimately transformed into something meaningful, pleasurable, or empowering.
Please note that, due to the nature of this workshop, we cannot guarantee the absence of light marks on the skin. However, you will remain in control of where they appear.
You are welcome to attend with a partner or come on your own.

Have you felt drawn to impact play, but still feel unsure how to bring out the best in this beautiful and ancient art of bodywork and pleasure? Maybe you’ve taken a few “quick” workshops here and there, yet still find yourself wondering what to actually do in those precious moments when someone offers their body to your floggers.
Then this workshop is for you.
Learn how the human body responds to impact, how pain is processed, and how to find that golden zone of intensity that leads to a juicy altered state of mind — the powerful and rewarding natural high.
Our main focus will be on the technique and art of flogging — a wonderfully diverse and nuanced practice that covers much of the impact play spectrum. However, the principles you’ll learn also apply to other forms of impact play, including whips, canes, paddles, wax play, and spanking.
We’ll begin with the essentials:
which areas of the body are safe to impact,
how different strokes create different sensations, and
how to bring clarity and purpose into a session.
Then we’ll explore more advanced aspects such as
time course of the pain reaction - when? what? how?
skin reactions as indicators of the journey, and
master the art of delivering intensity with safety and confidence to bring out its full potential.
We’ll be learning in a small group (12-15 participants), ensuring that everyone receives personal guidance, support, and the opportunity to enjoy the intimacy of a close, connected setting.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll have the chance to explore different floggers — trying them on yourself and on others — while learning techniques that are both safe and deeply impactful.
We’ll close with the opportunity for everyone to participate in a guided impact session with a partner — experiencing (on) both ends of the flogger.
expand your reperoire of creating an impact experience with (and without!) a flogger
“mix and match” the techniques and tips to consciously create the journey that you want to give or receive
create the safest possible impact experience and be prepared for situations when things do not go as expected
have experience both as a giver and as a receiver so that you know how “theory feels”
Psychologist (PhD) and professional impact player.
Hekate combines psychological expertise with long-term practical experience in impact play. She has worked with a wide range of clients and dynamics, developing a precise, safe, and effective approach to intensity, trust and control. She currently works at Atrium, the largest dominatrix and fetish studio in Berlin.
Hekate’s approach combines psychological insights and the latest neuroscientific findings with playful experimentation. Rooted in science rather than spiritual jargon, her workshops are about the body’s natural ability to process sensation — practical, clear, empowering, and above all: fun. (Read more)
The focus is on creating safe, powerful, and memorable experiences that move beyond technique and become a true journey for both partners.
